HIAT

WHERE Scholars Discover their Greatness

At HIAT, athletics are about more than competition—they’re about character, teamwork, and school pride. From the basketball court to the soccer field, the dance studio to the cheer squad, HIAT scholars learn discipline, confidence, and resilience while having fun and building lifelong friendships. Our programs encourage every scholar to stay active, discover their strengths, and represent Hornet pride with passion both on and off the field.

Flag Football

HIAT’s Flag Football builds strength, discipline, and teamwork as scholars compete with pride and passion—both on the field and in the classroom.

Archery

A fun, safe way for scholars to build confidence, focus, and discipline while learning new skills and aiming for success.

Volleyball

A dynamic team sport where scholars build coordination, confidence, and teamwork while staying active and having fun.

Cheerleading

HIAT Cheerleaders are the heartbeat of school spirit, spreading positivity, pride, and energy that unite our scholars and community.

Girls & Boys  Basketball

Our Basketball teams help scholars build confidence, teamwork, and leadership while developing strong fundamentals on and off the court.

Performing Arts

A creative space where scholars express themselves, build confidence, and shine through music, drama, and movement.

Spanish Club

An engaging, cultural experience where scholars learn language basics, explore traditions, and build global awareness through fun activities.

Girls Dance

Our Dance team encourages creativity, expression, and teamwork as scholars build confidence and showcase their talent .

McKinney-Vento Act

The McKinney-Vento Act protects scholars from discrimination based on their lack of a permanent residence. Homeless Scholars are eligible to receive a variety of services including: transportation services, free meals under the school nutrition programs, limited English proficiency class, gifted and talented programs, and special education services based on a scholar’s eligibility. Homeless Scholars will not be denied enrollment based on lack of proof of residency. Please consult the McKinney-Vento Act Liaison if you need assistance.
